In order to prepare for the second wave of coronavirus, the Agency for the Protection and Development of Competition was instructed to analyze the adequacy of prices and ensure monitoring of the price policy of laboratory services and personal protective equipment.

As a result, prices for the PCR test were reduced from 18,000 to 9,000 through the conclusion of antimonopoly compliance with 36 market entities, providing for a transparent trade and sales policy, and some laboratories reduced prices to KZT 6,000-7,000.

Manufacturers have reduced prices for medical masks to an average of 21 KZT/ piece.
