Cotton harvesting is being completed in the South of Kazakhstan. To date, 316 thousand tons of raw cotton have been harvested, with an average yield of 24.3 с/ha.

Cotton growers deliver the grown products to 166 receiving points of 18 cotton processing plants.

This year, due to diversification, the acreage for cotton crops was reduced by almost 5.5 thousand hectares – from 131.2 to 125.8 thousand hectares. This contributed to an increase in prices: now raw cotton is accepted at an average of KZT 160-165 thousand per ton - with a markup of 25% than last year.
