Today Kazakhstan celebrates its one the main national holidays, Independence Day. On December 16, 1991 the Supreme Court of the country adopted the Law On independence and sovereignty. Independence Day is celebrated on December 16 and 17 according to the Law On state independence of Kazakhstan. 29 years ago Kazakhstan became a sovereign and independent state.
