In 2020, 14.1 million square meters of housing were planned to be commissioned at the expense of all sources of financing within the framework of "Nurly Zher" State Program, but by the end of the year it is expected to build more than the plan - 15 million square meters (150 thousand dwellings).

Most of the housing, about 10.9 million square meters or 89.6%, was commissioned by private developers and the population. The public sector accounts for 9.7% of the total volume of housing commissioning (or about 1.2 million square meters).

The leaders in housing commissioning are Nur-Sultan (157.1%), East Kazakhstan region (118.8%), Karaganda region (117.4%), North Kazakhstan region (112%), and Turkestan region (110.8%). In general, the increase in the volume of housing commissioning in comparison with last year is noted in 15 regions of the country: East Kazakhstan (118.8%), Karaganda (117.4%), North Kazakhstan (112%), Turkestan (110.8%), Kostanay (106.6%), Mangistau (105.8%), Aktobe (104.7%), Zhambyl (104.3%), Almaty (103.2%), Akmola (102.8%), Pavlodar (101.4%), West Kazakhstan (100.3%) regions and in Nur-Sultan (157.1%), Shymkent (104.2%) and Almaty (101.9%).
