The share of RES in the energy balance of Kazakhstan in 2020 reached 3%. According to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the total volume of renewable energy generation amounted to 3.2 billion kWh, an increase of more than a third compared to the previous year. The most dynamic growth is recorded in the segment of solar power plants( SPP), where generation increased by 140% (to 1350 million kWh) over the year, and by 15 times in five years.
