In the five years since the signing of the Paris Climate Agreement, 60 of the world's largest banks have invested $ 3.8 trln in the fossil fuel industry.
 
According to a study prepared by a number of environmental organizations, J. P. Morgan Chase & Co. was the leader in financing the fossil fuel industry, which invested $313.74 bln in the industry over five years. It is followed by Citigroup Inc. ($237.5 bln) and Wells Fargo & Co. ($223.35 bln).
