In his third Address to the people of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev commissioned to build a thousand schools by 2025 (instead of the previously announced goal of 800 schools).

“The shortage of places in schools remains an acute problem of the secondary education system - the deficit is 225 thousand. If urgent measures are not taken, it may reach one 1 million places by 2025. Earlier, I gave instructions on the construction of at least 800 schools by the end of 2025. Today I set objective to bring this figure to 1000 schools" the President said.

It was noted that in addition to construction at the expense of the budget, the private sector will be involved in solving this problem.
